Osaka International Airport (ITM) can be reached by air from many airports in Japan. There are two ways to access Osaka Station from Osaka International Airport. Please refer to the following list of typical methods.
Monorail + Train
This may be a little difficult because of the transfer.Since the airport is the first stop, there is no chance of getting on the wrong train.
It is a little difficult to change trains, but if you follow someone with a trunk case, changing trains is not a problem.
Travel time: about 30 minutes
Fare: about 440 yen
Route: From Osaka Airport Station, 大阪空港駅, take the “Kadoma-shi direction” (門真市行), to Hotarugaike station (蛍池駅).
Change trains at Hotarugaike and take the Hankyu (阪急) train bound for Umeda (梅田), which will take you to Umeda.
Limousine bus
By taking a bus at the airport, you can go directly to Osaka Station. There is a possibility of delays due to traffic congestion on the way. It is a little more expensive, but it is very easy and recommended.
Travel time: about 30 minutes (depending on road conditions)
Fare: about 650 yen
Route: There is a direct bus service from platform 9 to Umeda (Osaka Station).
Conclusion
Which method you choose may depend on your time frame, budget, and comfort. If you want to save money, monorail+train is the way to go, and if you want an easy way to get there, bus is the way to go. Japanese people basically use the Monorail + Train. If you are accustomed to traveling abroad, give it a try.
